Ultimate Guide to Cope with Quarantine

Coronavirus has completely disrupted the world and everyone's daily life. Today I am going to share some ideas to make the most out of this insane time.

Start a routine

- Whether you have a strict or loose routine, have a regular scheduled time to wake up and get your day started. This pre-planning for your day or week will allow you to stay productive and energized.

My Schedule

8:30-9:30: Wakeup and eat breakfast

9:30-11:30: School work

11:30-1:30: Eat lunch, watch a show

2:00-4:30: work out, read, tan

5:00-6:00: Eat dinner

6:00-10:30: Watch a movie, chill, Read

How to cure your boredom

1. Bible Study

This is a wonderful time to start or grow your relationship with God. A daily bible study is a good way to begin. There are so many bible reading plans online and devotional books that offer daily readings. There are also other christian books that are informative reads.

-The Reason for God by Timothy Keller

-Sharing Jesus Without Freaking Out by Alvin L. Reid

2.Read Books

Personally, I have always wanted to read more books, I just never felt I had the time. This is a great way to pass time and be entertained while doing so. I just read The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo and I am currently reading Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. Once I finish that, I will be looking to read Brave New World and All the Light We Cannot See.

My Top 5 Books

- The Catcher and the Rye

- Unbroken

- Farenheit 451

- The Great Gatsby

- The Start of Me and You

3. Go Outside

This sounds simple but there are so many activities we can do outside. It is also a wonderful escape from staring at our electronics all day. These past few days I have learned to juggle while riding the ripstik. I enjoyed riding the lipstick when I was younger and ended up finding it in the garage. I have been able to use all of our sports balls we have had sitting in our garage and have created new ways to use them.

6. Workout

It is imperative that you still get up and exercise your body a little bit everyday. The "go outside" activities has many options for exercising, but I will suggest a few more here.

  • Jump Rope!!

This is a fun way to get your cardio in. You can go outside and enjoy the fresh air while jumping to your favorite music.

  • Online workout videos

During this time there are so many free trials for workout programs and classes. Also there are many trainers who are doing workouts live on their instagram. I have been loving @Philfit and @centrfit instagram live workouts. You can also zoom with your friends and family and do a workout together.

  • Dance Cardio

This is another fun and great way to get your cardio in. Zumba is one of my personal favs when it comes to dance cardio. There are many YouTube videos that have dance cardio workouts. Also there are multiple choreographed dances you can learn if you want more of a challenge. The Arnold Sisters YouTube posts different dances you can learn each week. Also, we all know Tik Tok always has dances for you to learn if you want a real time passer.
